Data we collect

Account data (email, encrypted password), profile data (name, photo, bio, city, social accounts and statistics, rates), Creators’ bank details (IBAN), Brands’ company details (registration number), messages exchanged, collaboration and payment history, technical data (session and language cookies).

Purposes and legal bases

Providing the matchmaking service and performing the contract; payment and invoicing (legal obligation); prevention of fraud, circumvention of the platform and security, including reviewing conversations when a report or dispute is made (legitimate interest); sending service emails.

Recipients

Public profile information is visible to site users. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe), which acts as an independent controller for card data. No data is sold to third parties.

Retention periods

Account data: for as long as you use the service, then 3 years of inactivity. Accounting data: 10 years. Messages: for the lifetime of the account.

Cookies

The site only uses two technical cookies, which do not require consent: a session cookie needed to sign in, and a cookie that remembers your display language. No advertising or third-party analytics cookies are set.

Connected Instagram and TikTok accounts

If you connect your Instagram or TikTok account, we receive, through Meta’s and TikTok’s official APIs and with your permission, your account ID, handle, follower count and the statistics of your recent posts (likes, comments, views) in order to calculate your engagement rate. Access tokens are encrypted. We never post anything on your behalf. You can disconnect an account at any time from your profile, which deletes the tokens.

Creator prospecting

To invite creators to join the platform, our team may record, from public professional profiles, the handle, display name, follower count, niche and the business email address published by the creator (legitimate interest: B2B prospecting). This information is never shown on the site. Every invitation message includes a link to object to any further contact, after which the contact details are erased. Data about people who do not sign up is deleted no later than 3 years after the last contact.

Language selection

On your first visit, the country associated with your IP address is determined in order to display the site in French or English. This information may be obtained from our hosting provider, our content delivery network (CDN) or the ipinfo.io service. Only the country code is kept, in a cookie; you can change the language at any time at the bottom of every page.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, and to object to its processing. You can delete your account at any time from “Account settings” or by writing to hi@joinkstr.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL, www.cnil.fr) or the authority of your country.
